everyone still think the ags are pretenders? hard to say just yet, but it looks like they may have a decent team going this year.
The highlights were on Sportscenter. Good game; my only hope is that this doesn't start a streak in the opposite direction now the Big XII play has begun. It would be sweet if the football team and the b-ball team made postseason play in the same year. Heck, I'd take the NIT at this point. Have they already played the preseason NIT?

Kansas is still playing without Wayne Simien as well, and they haven't been the most consistent team without him.

I don't think you can base this from the KU game. Wayne Simien was hurt so they didn't have a full lineup. With that said, A&M could finally end their Big 12 losing streak this year and surprise some folks.
Sure wish the Ags could have pulled this one out. Wish they could hit free throws. How about the Jones kid coming out of a small school and playing so good his first year. The Ags finally have a coach that will take them to where they need to be. Every team in the Big 12 would like to play KU with Simien out. They will win some conf games.

read closely....didnt say they were the team to beat now. just said it looks like they MIGHT have a decent team. I hope they do break their losing streak, but I am not going to bet on it just yet.
Even if they do go winless in the conference the games they've won shows progress to me. I may just be the ultimate optimist though

its like the announcers said, it doesnt matter who you played, winning builds confidence, and going 11-0 helps A LOT no matter who it was against. the ags are legit, and that new coach is going to take them places. only 1 senior on that squad this year.

Better than decent. It will be interesting to see how the Horns play Memphis.
