The Buffs had to win by at least 8 tonight to go to the playoffs, and pulled off a 9-point win at Elgin.
Elgin scored on their first offensive play of the night to make it 7-0 early in the first. Giddings came back and scored, but failed on the 2-point attempt. Stayed 7-6 Elgin till late in the second quarter, when the Buffs kicked a 42-yard FG. Giddings, 9-7 at the half.
Buffs scored again in the third, and kicked the PAT for a 16-7 lead that held up throughout the rest of the game.
