there has been a thread about this ... ags have the 329th out of 330 strength of schedule and have played all their games at home ... ESPN called them "pretenders"

ill root for them just because my old roommate plays for them....if they make post-season play i hope they put up a better showing than the football team did...

Aggies have lost 19 consecutive conference games, will they finally win one this year?

Don't forget that just two years ago the Aggies had a respectable basketball team that gave Texas a good game when they played them even though they lost.

Its great for the aggies to be on top now. they certainly are a better club than last years but they have not played anyone yet. so lets wait until conference play begins, then lets compare records!!!!

im not bashing A&M but when you have to play University of Texas-Permian Bssin, your really trying to boost your record, they might have been better off playing a all star team of midland high and midland lee for a better game. I hope they do good but I really doubt that they will!!

the ags will prolly loose all their conference games again...they might win 1, but i'd put my money on them loosing them all..

You may be undefeated right now, but A&M will win maybe 2 conference games this year, if that.

Gillespie is going about this at the wrong way, IMO.

We have to remember though that West Texas A&M won the national championship in 1966 so we can't underrate the schedule and Our Lady of the Lake has had good teams in the past.

Wrong, that was Texas Western (now UTEP) that won that national title. West Texas A&M is a division 2 school. They have also played Trinity (Division 3) and UTPB (NAIA)
