Did you know that a raisin dropped in a glass of fresh champagne will bounce up and down continuously from the bottom of the glass to the top?

I've never shot a champagne cork before, but I did flip a Coors Light bottle top across the room one time. It hit my ex-husband right across the nose and left a cut.....

.....couldn't have happened to a nicer guy!!:D

FACT: "Popping a cork" is not only frowned upon but dangerous. It is best to tilt the bottle to a 45-degree angle and gently ease the cork out until you hear a gentle sigh. Remember that the cork is under extreme pressure and can exit the bottle at speeds of 38 to 40 miles per hour. Never point a bottle at a person while opening it.

a good idea is to use a kitchen towel over the cork. and turn the bottle, not the cork. but by following all that champagne ettiquite, how is someone suppose to have any fun?

If my choice was to drink champagne or abstain, I would remain stone cold sober.

In fact, I have a bottle of champagne in my fridge that my boss gave me LAST New Years.

YUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
