Offense: MATT LOVORN, CANYON
Statistics: Bounced back from major knee surgery in 2003 and completed 176-of-288 passes for 3,027 yards with 35 touchdowns and 12 interceptions.


Offense: JAMAR WALL, PLAINVIEW
Statistics: Made the transition to tailback to earn first-team all-state honors. In 10 games, eclipsed the 2,000-yard mark. Rushed for 2,024 yards on 301 carries and scored 28 touchdowns.


Offense: PHILLIP WILLIAMS, CLOVIS, N.M.
Statistics: Carried 273 times for 1,868 yards and scored 18 touchdowns for the rush-oriented New Mexico Class 5A state runner-up team.


Offense: DANIEL SHERWOOD, AMARILLO HIGH
Statistics: Has committed to Baylor. Strong blocker. Led all Class 5A-4A area tight ends with 24 receptions for 279 yards and five touchdowns.


Offense: JARED PEDDY, CANYON
Statistics: Led the Eagles with 51 catches for 838 yards and 10 touchdowns. Also ran eight times for 123 yards and two scores.


Offense: AARON RAYMOND, SUNRAY
Statistics: All-state first-team selection led the area with 86 catches for 1,217 yards and 12 touchdowns. Reception total is second-highest by an area receiver.


Offense: DUSTIN BRUNS, PALO DURO
Statistics: Considered top offensive lineman in District 3-4A. Voted unanimously to the all-district team. Powerful blocker with a knack for helping his teammates


Offense: JEY HINSHAW, PERRYTON
Statistics: Graded at 98 percent on assignment and 88 percent on execution with 63 knockdown blocks.


Offense: COLE THURMAN, CANYON
Statistics: First-team all-state selection had 42 pancakes and allowed two sacks in 288 pass attempts.


Offense: WAYLAND THOMAS, CANADIAN
Statistics: Most consistent blocker for the 14-1 Wildcats, who advanced to the Class 2A Division II state semifinals. Thomas had 62 knockdown blocks for an offense that averaged 38 points per game.


Offense: MARK MILLER, STRATFORD
Statistics: A second-team all-state selection who graded at 92 percent for offense that averaged 417 yards and advanced to the Class 1A state title game.


Kicking Specialists: Seth Foster, Pampa
Statistics: Versatile player who excelled at wide receiver along with kicking. Despite the gusty winds of West Texas, averaged 58 yards on kickoffs. Made 35 extra points and kicked three field goals.


Kicking Specialists: NEIL PACKARD, PANHANDLE
Statistics: Senior punted for a 42.3-yard average. At linebacker, he had 128 tackles and 3 interceptions. At quarterback, he passed for 979 yards and 13 TDs and rushed for 678 yards and 11 scores.


All-Purpose Player: NICK MARTIN, SUNRAY
Statistics: First-team all-state 1A selection, he completed 149-of-203 passes for 2,259 yards, 24 TDs, 12 INTs. Ran for 970 yds, 19 TDs.


Newcomer Of The Year: SAWYER VEST, CHILDRESS
Statistics: Vest finished 112-of-206 passing for 1,677 yards and 19 TDs. He rushed for 1,207 yards and 12 TDs.


Six-Man Player Of The Year: FIDEL VALDES, VALLEY
Statistics: In leading Patriots to state championship game, Valdes rushed for 1,701 yards with 42 TDs. As a linebacker, he had 117 tackles, four INTs, four fumbles recoveries, two defensive TDs.


Defense: EVANDER HOOD, PALO DURO
Statistics: Committed to Missouri. Named defensive player of the year in District 3-4A. Made 93 tackles, 11 quarterback sacks, recovered two fumbles, blocked two punts.


Defense: JASON BURNS, CLOVIS, N.M.
Statistics: Hard-hitting player for N.M. Class 5A state runner-up team. Made 68 solo tackles, 42 assisted tackles, recorded five quarterback sacks and recovered two fumbles.


Defense: TYREL BOLIN, PAMPA
TYREL BOLIN, PAMPAStatistics: Three-year starter for Pampa team that advanced to the playoffs all three years. Made 34 solo tackles, 81 tackles, 5.5 quarterback sacks.


Defense: AUSTON ENGLISH, CANADIAN
Statistics: Missed half of regular season with injury. The Oklahoma recruit had 81 tackles (33 solos) and 11 sacks. He also rushed for 1,284 yards as a tailback. Career totals: 4,794 yards and 61 TDs.


Defense: JOSH YOUNG, PALO DURO
Statistics: Finished with 95 tackles, 8 quarterback sacks, 9 pass breakups and one interception return for a touchdown for the District 3-4A champions.


Defense: Q.B. COBB, PAMPA
Statistics: Led Pampa in tackles with 163, including 92 solos. Caused three fumbles. Performed in high school rodeos on some Saturdays in the fall.


Defense: JUAN NUNEZ, MULESHOE
Statistics: Led the Mules in tackles with 156 and had 18 tackles for losses. Second-team all-state selection broke up five passes, caused two fumbles, recovered three fumbles, made three sacks.


Defense: JORDAN NIPP, AMARILLO HIGH
Statistics: Two-year starter was second in District 2-5A with five interceptions. Also had 76 tackles.


Defense: BO MERRELL, PERRYTON
Statistics: First-team all-state selection made 95 tackles, intercepted six passes, knocked down seven more and was named first-team all-state.BO MERRELL, PERRYTON


Defense: CLAYTON YOUNG, CANYON
Statistics: First-team all-state selection intercepted 10 passes as a cornerback. He made 64 tackles and recovered two fumbles.


Defense: TONY LIVINGSTON, CANADIAN
Statistics: Versatile senior finished with 100 tackles and 10 interceptions. He also compiled 1,969 all-purpose yards with 10 TDs receiving, 7 rushing, 3 on kickoff returns and 3 on punt returns.
