Christmas Surprise for me

I went to SAMS yesterday to pick up MADDEN2005 PS2 for my oldest son. It was only $44.94 - I thought,, "cool" so I go to the checkout and it rings up @27.94.. WOW - what a nice surprise.. I didn't question the price at the time.. I wonder if it was on sale or I just got lucky........

For the record, EA Sports lowered the prices of Madden, NBA Live and Tiger Woods golf to $29.99 for the holidays.

In the earlier post you said no they didn't, then you say they did. Those were the only 3 EA Sports games I was aware they lowered to that price point.

I'm sure competing with the ESPN games had something to do with it as well. EA won't have to worry about any competition for Madden next year though since they exclusively have the NFL license.

Wasn't really much competition, EA sold more copies the ESPN anyways once again.

Yeah, but I always thought that just a little competition helped Madden improve every year.
