Did you know there is/are dictionaries online? I find http://www.dictionary.com to be a very helpful bookmark. Much faster than flipping through a fat book. (If you're already online)

another good one is Merriam-Webster Online (www.m-w.com)
it even has a toolbar download so you can have it on your browser at all times.

That toolbar acessory is neat. BUT, you have to use MS Explorer to use it. Guess I'll never use it because at work I'm not allowed to download programs and at home I use Mozilla Firefox.
