7 out of nine of the state final games were decided by a touchdown or less. Only the 1A and 2A Division 1 games were more than a touchdown.
The ability to win close games appears to be almost as important as talent. Special teams. Turnovers. Defensive stops (Wylie). All of them are magnified in December. I just never realized how much.

thats all very true crabman. its the little things that seem to make or break a team. something as minor as 1 rushing yard have decided many-a-championships. some of them are glorified on film too.

seems like all the good coaches spend alot of time on the little things like the kicking game, teamwork, and fundamentals.
