Jasper, although you did not get the victory on the scoreboard, coming back from a such a huge Gilmer lead means that you have the heart of a champion. Congratulations to Jasper. I was at this game. When the Bulldogs fell behind, 42-21, everyone on Gilmer's side thought you'd fold. Instead, you came back and took us down to the wire. Jasper's gotta be considered one of the favorites for state next season, especially with Moye coming back for two more years.

I'll tell you what I saw from my seat. Patton took the ball right up the middle. He was being tackled at the 1, fell on top of a defender and rolled into the endzone. The refs all got together in a huddle (in other words nobody knew what happened) and I guess decided that since nobody saw him get into the endzone that he must have been down. That's the only thing I can figure because he ended up in the endzone. I'll be curious to see the replay on that one.

you can talk about anything you want to, but I hope to goodness this site doesn't become like all the others where all you hear is a bunch of hot air and bad attitudes...I think our players proved what Jasper football is about. I like you wish a few things would have been called differently. I just sure hope this doesn't become a session where a bunch of Jasper fans get on here and make 10 excuses like we did earlier in the year...the game was to good to diminish like that. It would be interesting to hear some neutral watchers of the game take on some of the things that have been mentioned so far.

Exactly! Jasper should be very proud of the way they played. I thought the game might be over before the half the way Gilmer's defense was playing, but Jasper scored right before the half and I knew this was going to go to the wire! Most teams would have gave up during that 2nd. quarter, Jasper did'nt. That tells you alot about the character and heart of your coaches and players!
