This great Audie Murphy western is on TCM on New Year's Day 9:00 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. before the football starts! You don't want to miss this great western. This movie was made in 1959 when great movies such as Ben Hur, North by Northwest, Anatamy of a Murder, etc. were made. Many people thought Audie Murphy deserved an oscar for his performance as the good bad guy John Gant. It was a great performance and one of his offbeat ones. He was a good bad guy several years before Clint Eastwood became famous for it in those Italian westerns. Don't miss it. If you can't get up to watch it set your recorders. Surely a great way to start the year by TCM!
