Can someone tell me how the PM's work, and is it appropriate to PM someone that you don't really know?

well, how they work?
Just click pm under someone's post or
go to user cp Private Messages and write one.
I dunno about 'appropriate'...i'd just go for it! lol

yea, but i think the little disclaimer lines keep us from any major trouble w/ the mods...im keeping my fingers crossed on this one though...

sounds good to me, i also wonder if you can work off warnings w/ extra special behavior or be on like a probation period where you temporarily rom yourself...kinda like being grounded, you haeva short time out then you can play w/ your friends again...:thinking:

Some people are very receptive & some are not so. It may depend on your message whether it would be appropriate or not. It can be a way to get to know folks a little better or share something you don't want to be public knowledge. :)
