I love those things..... Seeing Iowa LA reminds me of my childhood.. when I was little, we'd get on IH 10 at Schulemburg and get off @ Iowa and head up US 165 to Alexandria up to Monroe to my grandmothers.. Iowa is where we always stopped and ate :)

I like the boudain in Abbeville,LA. they have a slaughter house i go to out there.

Bubba Joe date a very attractive young lady who grew up in Iowa La.
Monique, out of respect Bubba won't give a last name, suffice to say she was a Cajun beauty.
Bubba Joe remembers fondly. Her daddy was a bad man, but he liked ole Bubba Joe.
Her momma made a gumbo that you would kill for.....

Llyods, in Houston, Texas 5th ward off of Lyons AVE. and if you want boudain. The Best Gumbo, my mom and Pops take Turns Cooking Gumbo Each Holiday, and this year at Thanksgiving Mom had a pot of Gumbo so big, we fed half of Marlin and that particular batch has to be #1, sorry dad, but she got ya!

Hey!! no fair. that's regional cuisine. we cant get that stuff here. that would be like the centex guys braggin bout the kolaches or the sotex guys talkin bout caldo. every once in a while H.E.B. will have some boudin in their cooler, but its almost impossible to get at a restaurant. and as for beignets, forget about it. man im hungry.

Been to both. :D Mike Anderson's is my favorite! They have a dish called "The Norman" that is a fried fish fillet covered with a heap of Crab-meat etouffee. HEAVEN on earth!

I just love how in Louisiana you can go to Pat O'brein's, order a hurricane, and leave with it and continue on your way through the Quarter.
