The Gilmer paper is not pulling any punches
Street Clothes - ouch
MANUEL JOHNSON throws a pass from the star at midfield of Texas Stadium last week. The Buckeyes practiced at the stadium last Tuesday in preparation for Saturday night's game with Snyder. The Gilmer offensive line of Matt Bryant, David Snow, Logan Bishop, Jeremy Childress and Kendall Abron gave him such good pass protection in the 53-20 victory that he almost could have played the game in street clothes if not for his other duties running the football.

Well I sure saw him get up slow a couple of times after dumping the ball off on a screen pass. There is a picture in the Snyder paper of #11 and #8 hammering him. so I think Gilmer has so lessons in being gracious winning to learn.

Sounds like a proud town. Nothing wrong with writing in your own paper to your own people.

If you would have won I'm sure your paper would have said something similar.

This ones over. Move on and quite reading the Gilmer Mirror.

Why would anyone from Snyder want to read the Gilmer Mirror any way?

Snyder aint nowhere close to where I am from
Mesquite Springs .
But we are in the same Region...
Maybe someone could post the Snyder write up after both the Gilmer and Sweetwater games
and we could compare.

Technically speaking, the comment you are reacting to is on the Gilmer Mirror web site. The newspaper articles will not be published until tomorrow, Wed. Dec. 15.

With enthusiasm about the results of the game, the Webmaster went in and changed the original cutline which ran in Saturday's newspaper. The original stated when the game would be played at Texas Stadium. The revision was to give the result and to let fans know where to head for next.

The only thing "wrong" from a Snyder point of view is his choice of the word demolish. But a 33 point margin is pretty decisive.
