Bored in ISS

I am sitting in ISS (in school suspension) and im about to go crazy!!! Somebody get me out of here!!!!!!!!!

All i did was leave for lunch and they gave me 2 days of iss for that ..........THATS CRAZY!!!

I'm wondering the same thing....you could come to cuero and be in ISS, but then you would get out @ 12, lettin school out early today, and all of downtown cuero is shuttin down after 12, even the banks are closin' up!

at least you have computer access....some kids have to copy dictionaries, encyclopedias, student handbooks, when i was in high school ISS didnt ket out until 4:30. school got out at 3:30. if you missed practice too bad.

When I was in school (back before it was subject to a lawsuit if a kid had to suffer in the least) our ISS classroom had tables against a wall and 3 legged wooden stools with no back to sit on!

You were not allowed to lean on the table or rest your arms/elbows on it unless you were writing something!

Our ISS room was directly off the office with a big plexiglass window that looked into the office. I worked as an office aide for 2 class periods...and my back would hurt just looking at the kids in there!!

When I was in school, ISS lasted about 5 minutes and included a beating with a 3 foot paddle! Probably didn't work any better that today's version, but at least I got back to class.

i think that keeping the kid out of class can be bad....but if the kid broke the rules then he broke the rules. who is to say that what the school district does is wrong. they keep kids on campus for a reason.

but if they are going to punish a kid at least puinish them so they dont wanna be back. no computer.

see last year i was lucky.. (mom dont listen to this) I had "a" lunch so i usually wasnt hungry yet.. then went to 4th period.. 5th period i had Elem. Tutor so i could skip that if i wanted.. (usually didnt bc i like the teach i was helping) then went to 6th then 7th had "band Aid" and i could leave durning that(which me and one of my fellow Caldwell posters(you know who you are, shes my ying to my yan lol) did a few times). Heck.. its not worth it to leave for lunch in Caldwell.. we only have a few fast food places and usually its as bad as the food at school!

If you have access do a computer in ISS then something is wrong...

And you are lucky you didn't get a fine for truancy. If you don't think the State takes it serious when you leave school when you aren't suppose to then you are sadly mistaken. I would say the punishment was just right, and I would suggest you don't leave campus again....

When I went to school there we were allowed to leave for lunch..wonder when that stopped?? Not to many schools that still allow that...
