Yep, no surprises here either, I know it's early but LH is setting the tempo for the rest of the game. Looks like the state's number 3 defense, is not stopping the Panthers.

figured LH would probably win, well it ain't over yet...heck we were down at half

Has Hallettsville had any dramatic come-back wins this season? or has it been where they have been up or tied that they just pulled it off.

If you live around Canyon, have you tried to see if you can get the game on the radio?
The game should be listed in the Austin paper's sport section.:D

Way to go Halletsville, wish you coulda come out on top, but congrats to the LH Panthers, now go represent Region 4 to the fullest by bringin' home a state championship trophy!
LH Panther Mom, it wasn't like I was doubting your team all the way, I just had to root for my district, and I hope your boys bring home the gold, and I guarantee I'll be rootin' for 'em the next two weeks of play!

Wow! It must have been a great game. Congratulations to the Panthers for winning region IV. Halletsville should be proud the way they advanced in the playoffs to round four. That is very difficult to do and only the best get there. Good luck next week LH Panthers. :)

Excellent game panthers, your offense looks to me to be almost unstopable, the brahmas had no answers of #12 on pitch right,#7 run right or #27 up the middle, asume ground attack, did'nt get to see the four head of the monster(QB),alls he had to do was hand it off to any of the three, L-H's only weekness that i saw was maybe their kickoff stratigy, kick it every time on groung and H,ville got ball at forty or better every time,

Have to question H'ville play calling in first qtr, after fumbling on opening postion and L-H scoring, H'ville goes for fake punt at own 40 (fourth and 10) and gives L-H ball at 40. You don't give that good an offense a short field to work with. next position 4th and ten from 10yard line should get some points with firld goal instead goes for it and turns ball over,(first three offense series results in turnover) L-H drives for touchdown 21-0. after that h'ville offense came to life.

Overall a good game,Hats off to Panthers, they can score at will on the ground and defense will hit you hard. they will rep. region 4 very well and i think that they have a great shot at the ring. Thats my take!!!!

Congrats to the Brahmas on the hard fought game today. You guys never gave up to the end. #2, I know you got hit pretty hard a few times & I hope you're okay. I could tell why your defense has done so well throughout the season. We've not been held to less than 400 yards many games this season, but you did it. Good job, guys!

Panthers, ya'll were awesome! McComas, that was an awesome recovery on the fumble the first series. Offensive line, you never get enough credit, but you guys are great! Defense, you had some great hits. Casey, Ryan & Matt - great job guys! LHMom, Purplenails, Tiny & TX Challenge - congrats to your kids on the great game they played. (And to PurpleHart for your brother.) I know Chris wishes he could've been there to cheer ya'll on, but prep for college finals rules him right now.

RHS78, the kicking game isn't always like that. They mix it up from game to game, sometimes using both kicks in the same game. You witnessed the worm burners, as I call them. As far as the QB, I wish you had been able to see his arm, but it wasn't in the game plan today.

Cheer Mom, it was very nice to meet you & nice to see Olddawgreen & family, Gobbla2001, Jason, Big19 and 20dawgz05.
Go Cats - let's go get a bulldog!

GO PANTHERS......... I'd love to see your game next week, but with our game in Waco on Friday night.. I just don't know if I am going to be mentally or physically able to make the drive but we'll see :)...... I have a hunch you'll be playing the next week too....... Wow - Liberty Hill vs Jasper.. sounds like a match up for two really good teams.

Congrats to both teams for a very dynamic effort!

Brahmas #2 made much longer runs than he did against PI last week, and the offense was able to score 2 more touchdowns.

I'm with LHmom on the throwing arm of the QB. If he has to, he can get that job done too. He didn't have to. Never underestimate the levelheadedness it takes to pitch the ball off to a runner (gut wrenching memories of PI's QB fumbling the ball 6 TIMES last week doing just that). I kept an eye on the LB that you said was MVP for LH (can't remember his name). Yep, very instrumental on defense and cheerleader for the team!

I admire the teamwork of the Panthers and the class that their fans have. Don't know much about Jasper, but if their speed is anything like Marlins, look for some of LH's "he's off and down the field" to be cut off by some God-given speed.

Good Luck and God Bless.

#21, Tony Haberer, is the LB you're referring to. He's a great kid - one of may great kids on the team.

I guess I stand corrected on our yardage; looks like the scoreboard stats were incorrect at the end. They showed 388 yds, we actually gained 458. No punt, pass & kick awards were won yesterday by the LH team. :D

Coach Taylor from the Brahmas, you're a classy guy. Thanks for the nice word about our boys. "We tried everything we could; we never stopped them offensively. They're the best 3a team I've seen this year, and I hope they win state." That's something, coming from a coach in the same district as Cuero.

wow. that was a hell of a game. and it i didnt make it till the last quarter (got a lil lost in austin:()

LH- you guys are a great team and very respectful to your opponents. I once never saw anyone getting an atittude or anything (even tho i was there for a lil bit of the time) I really liked how you guys talked to our players at the end of the game.. it showed you guys have a lot of respect for others.

Brahmas- you guys had the greatest season I had seen through all my 4 years of high school. I know all the games we played werent easy. You guy were picked to be last in district, and you sure proved that you're better than that.. you guys survived 3 playoff games and lost to one of the best teams in the state, so i think you guys should be very proud of yourselves, because i know everyone in this town is proud of you. I know this game meant a lot to you guys, i even saw a few of you crying.. ( dont worry i was too) but you guys are still the pride and joy of hallettsville texas high school football.
Thanks for the greatest season I've ever seen, and thank you for all the memories. :)

we're proud of you..
