MESSAGE FROM THE PERSIAN GULF — Zeb Alexander, left, a 1997 graduate of Snyder High School and a sports and recreation tech with Halliburton currently stationed in Taji, Iraq, sends an encouraging message on an abandoned Iraqi track vehicle to the Snyder Tigers. With Alexander are SPC Richard Hall, center, of Louisiana, and PFC Michael Lucina of Arizona. Hall and Lucina, both deployed from Ft. Hood, are two of many Texans overseas with an interest in the Texas high school football playoffs. “Let them know that this former Tiger in Iraq and the brave soldiers fighting the fight here are all proud of our Snyder Tigers,” Alexander said. The Tigers battle the Mustangs at 7:30 Friday night at Big Spring High School.
