I watched Brookshire Royal destroy Van Vleck last saturday. Newton will have their hands full with this team. Brookshire features a great running attack, led by RB #34 and their QB #3. They also have a soph #10 that has outstanding speed and is very dangerous. This team averages 455 yds of offense and their defense gives up only 215 yards per game. The scary thing about this team, they will return most of their players for next year.

Well I don't know about Newton, but Celina won the State Title the last four years they were in 2A. Moved "UP" went 21-3 in 3a and have moved back down and started the season 13-0 with a win against a final four 3a D1 team. I don't think should be mentioned in the same breath as those 4a drop downs. :p

DI- Brookshire Royal
DII- Crawford

'Bulls-Eye': Will you be at the Dome Friday night for Newton/Brookshire? I may be going to the Celina/Crawford game, but if my roommate backs out, I'll be heading to Houston for this matchup, should be a great one.

Newton - Brookshire is not Friday night, it is Saturday at 1:00 PM in the Dome.

Rooting for Newton all the way, but I have heard only good things about Brookshire so this should be a really good game.

Following the Newton - Brookshire game the 5A-D1 semifinal between Spring Westfield and Converse Judson will be played at 4:30 in the Dome, should be a great double-header.

My little brother coaches for Newton and my best friend from high school is the head coach at Spring Westfield, sure wish I could be there!

Guys don't forget about Lexington. I think they will win it all. Only loss was to Rogers and that was when the Lexington QB (Jordon Pederson 4.4 40, and A&M commit) was out with a Hamstring injury. He's back now and the War Eagles are pounding folks. This week they pound Rogers in the rematch.
