Seeing how Burnet had both teams number, niether could beat the Bulldogs, I wonder will each school use footage from Burnet.

It might help, but then again it might hurt...Something for the coaches to consider at least! Did Burnet make it to playoffs this year? Haven't heard much from them at all this season:thinking:

It might help if either team had film of Burnet playing the other team. But just having film of Burnet I dont think would help.

you never know what information can be derived from old films, but looking at the opposition's films would be more helpful!

I think that is what cunbed was talking about if Jasper happen to have film of Burnet playing Marlin or vice versa from last year or the year before.

If they have them I bet Jasper will take a peek at them since Burnet ran the spread and it might give Jasper's coaches an idea of how Marlin will scheme them defensively. More than likely it will be just a cursorly glance and they will concentrate on what films they might have from this year. Possibly the Connally tape from this year if they can get a hold of it. If memory serves correctly Connally also is a spread team.

we used to look at team's tapes from the year before when we prepared for scrimmages, but a playoff game is just a Little bit different i guess

Actually, Burnet and Marlin did scrimmage this year, but I don't think it was filmed and if it was, I don't think Marlin would want to be reminded of how it turned out for them. ;) :D

This is turning out to be a tough year, because of my interest in the teams I find myself wanting to pull for Jasper and Marlin. Ive supported both teams in the past, except when they were playing Burnet. Both are great teams and I wish them the best. I do think that it could be Marlin's (and possibly a few other teams) bad fortune that Jasper is playing in Division II this year. Good luck to all and prayers for an injury free game. Over all I have to pull for our neighbor and Region IV team, Liberty Hill, as long as their in the running.
