Saw 2 games in texas stadium that had great officials.

during the SLC/Abilene game there was one 'controversial' call ...... it was an intentional grounding "no call" against SLC ... what no one from the Abliene side saw was where the ball actually landed - at the feet of an eligible receiver, and thats probably exactly what the referee saw ..... it did appear that the QB just let it go when he was going down, but i promise you any SLC QB will be smarter that that.

The question on that call was not about grounding, they were questioning on if the ball crossed the LOS, because SLC had linemen downfield......I believe the play was to be a screen...and if the ball crosses the LOS, then it is no longer a screen, and therefore ineligible rec's should be called. I think from seeing the coaches reaction, the referees did not see any lineman downfield, so they did not call it. That happens a lot on a botched screen.
