Coach Hunt was a favorite among the school and the community, and he will be missed.

Sad thing is, Gonzales cancelled classes this Tuesday because the threat of possible flooding. They would have been at school.

It seems these tragedies just keep happening. We are still trying to recover from ours, and now this happens. My heart goes out to the community, and the families of these two men. We know all too well what a shock this must be for them.

cheermom, i believe our district probably had the most students killed in wrecks this year. 2 from navasota, 3? from sealy, and 4 from rice. and cleveland lost four this year also. correct me if im wrong, but this is the worst year i ever remember. i made it through all 12 years only losing two classmates.

I just said a prayer for those touched by such a tragic loss.

A reminder to each of us what we should be thinking of on Thanksgiving Day.

My prayers go out for these young men and their families. We in La grange lost two just before the start of our season, Cory Davis and Beatrice Bell killed in a head on Hwy 21 in Elgin. Cory was a sophomore on the football team, well liked and a hard worker, while his sister was a cheerleader admired by all. It has indeed been a tragic year with so many young lives lost on the highways. Please tell your children to drive carefully, and say a prayer for them whenever they are out of your sight. God bless these two fine young men and comfort their families and friends.

Prayers from this part of Brahmaland, too. Makes me thankful for all God's blessings in my life. Too many have died tragically this year; may it serve to remind the students and all members on this board that not too many are 8 ft tall and bullet-proof. God bless the families and community of Gonzales.
