Because of our past experiences playing them, I would take Marlin by a couple of TDs.

Haven't seen Marlin but I would think Kirbyville can make a good game of it. Marlin will probably be the favored because of playoff experience as you stated.

Kirbyville is a scrappy team with some good speed. It should be a good game. I will be pulling for Kirbyville because they are from Jasper County! :)

well i haven't been able to see kirbyville, but i have seen marlin and this is going to be an incredible game....marlin has the fastest scoring offense i have ever seen, in their 36-31 win over China Spring in the first round their longest of their 5 touchdown drives was 1:23. I'm going to pick Marlin in this one, but I wouldn't consider it an upset at all if Kirbyville wins because of the competition that they have played all year. this one goes down to the wire but i'll take the 'Dogs 33-30.

As much as Id like to play kirbyville again, i say their ride stops here. With Marlin winning by 2 tds, Nothing against Kville, but from what ive heard about Marlin in the past. I say them, but hey....you never know...Good luck K'ville.

Ive seen both of them play. This should be a great game. Both have stingy defenses and scrappy offenses. Comes down to the end, but K-ville wins it.

Kirbyville is not big or fast. Most of their players are juniors. No division I prospects.
They have not been picked to do much this year.
All they have going for them is character and grit, ask Rusk, Jasper and Barbers Hill.

kirbyville's Defense is real good at this point and should be able to hold marlin from gettin many tds but kirbyvilles ofense should be ok if certain people do their jobs. broderick bean had an incredible night against the eagles and i hope to see the same at this game!!!

I've heard so much about Marlin but i'm still pulling for the Wildcats. I believe Kirbyville, Jasper, and Newton are the only South East Texas teams still left in the playoffs...correct me if i'm wrong.

Best of luck to the Kirbyville Wildcats!!!!

Marlin's QB is very athletic and once in the open field is hard to stop. Reminds me of a young Randall Cunningham. (A little Old School there folks)

I see Kirbyville by two TDs. Marlin just has not faced anything like the tough competition that the Wildcats have faced. It's a sure bet that Jasper will swamp the Cameron Yoe team and then that will set up a Kirbyville vs Jasper(from same District) ole time SE Texas football powerhouse Region III Championship game.
Now like I said at the first of the year(and took a lot of heat for it) either Jasper or Kirbyville may well be the State Championship of Division II.
On Division I, Palestine has already eliminated a host of top competition. I worry a little about their consistancy in that they let a Rusk team beat them on a wet field this season. Rusk too was quite inconsistant, but Palestine has the hosses to win it all if they play up to their potential for the remaining games.

K'VILLE!

The Defense is agressive and has speed. I was standing on top of the stands eating a hot dog and their corner ran by so fast it sucked my weiner right out of the bun.

How is that for fast........:D

Jeremy Sanders, Marlin 132 1157 8.8 19 . Your scouting reports is inaccurate, if K-Ville just watches out for these two, It's going to be a long night, I won't tell you who else to watch out 4:D

K'VILLE!

Defense, it seeems has some speed and a little strength. Offense wasn't all that fast. I saw some receivers get open but I think that was more bad defense than speed by Kirbyville.

Marlin has been a thorn in our side for several yrs and I would love to see Kirbyville pull out the win. Tank was not a factor in our last two meetings and if the Kirbyville D will hit him in the mouth early he won't be a factor in this game either. However, there are a couple of others that will beat you if you are not ready for them. I see a close game with Kirbyville taking this one.

Thank you for the good wishes. :) Now if you could just get Jody to express good wishes............. no, never mind. He picked Yoe and I think that is good luck for Jasper! :D

Maybe we could do a halftime meet and greet with the Yoe and Jasper DL'ers at the scoreboard entrance like we did last week. :)

It's just more fun rooting for the underdog.......:D

I will root for anyone but WOS! However, we don't have to worry about that much as they will not make the playoffs but one more year.

I think that K-ville wouldnt be where they are now if it wasnt for #22! #10 keep on keepin on! Well #15 Maybe one day (jordan)
If the Bulldogs even knew what was best for them they would stay in Marlin.
