I missed being on here for the past several weeks. I have just gotten back up here to work. Just returned back from hunting down in Pineland. I did however go to the Diboll / Jasper game in Lufkin last week. The Dogs seem to right on the edge of jelling both offensive and defensively. They are talented (speed) this year, but the continuity seems to be lacking somewhat on the offensive side, too many mistakes. Defensively they shut a strong offensive Diboll team down...but maybe they'll get it together. Now would be the time for them to be peaking...while they're in the playoffs.

Hey Spivey. Any idea as to what's working for the dogs? Run, pass, special teams? Sounds like the defense is holding their own pretty well!:D

No idea. I can hardly hear them on the phone between the crowd, the announcer, and the bad cellular signal.

Newtonnews.com is reporting Newton won their game against Teague 48-7.

Kind of early for a final.

At 48-7 they should be running the clock non-stop.

Don't get too excited there B-12. Those are going to be some tough games.

Bulldog_12

I know. I saw Marlin tonight, and I definately think that K-ville can hang with them and win. I havent seen Cameron, but hopefully history will be with us and we will win against Cameron.

I saw the game tonight/ Jasper speed was pretty convincing! It looks to me that Kirbyville and Jasper will meet for the Region III Title two weeks from now....I will venture that Palestine, a 4A dropdown, will win Division I State Title.

I heard that Liberty did break some good runs, but that Jasper chased them down. For a fact, Liberty must have had some decent speed also. :) Evidently not as much as Jasper.

Im not going to lie, Jasper has a heck of a lot of speed. They are really exciting to watch. Cant wait to see them in that final game!!!!!!!!!:D

Be patient. I thought I couldn't wait, but I have been waiting for a lot more years than you probably have been alive and many years have thought this has to be the year. :D I'm not going to count any Finals chicks until it happens! :) But, yes Jasper is FAST. And it kinda seems like they hit pretty hard also. :)

I know I know, but I can still hope.:D I just wanna see them take that final step that we weren't able to make the last two years. Just get a little excited when my boys get a good win like this.

Speed? You bet. We ran down the Liberty runner from across the field twice! Yes, he had a good run, but then our defense stepped up! Hard hits? You better believe it! Derrick Bean, Tod Hunt, Jaylon Clotiaux, James Adams, just a few of the names of the "truck that hit you". When Jaylon finally got in there, he MEANT BUSINESS! This kid is only a sophomore. I can't wait to see him play when he is a senior!

The cause of Liberty's loss was turnovers. We turned the ball over 8 times. It is hard to win when you do that. If we held on to the ball it probably would have been an excellent game, because we were moving the ball on the Jasper D. Also many of Jasper points came off turnovers. Anyways congrats to Jasper. And congrats to all my teammates for one hell of a year. Not too many teams come back from 0-5 seasons to be district champs.

You guys did an awesome job turning the season around. A lot of people would have shut down at 0-5. I know places where when the team is 0-5 kids start to quit. Congrats on a fine season.
