After Gainesville's TD, Decatur drives to the 3 yardline and stalls. Decatur kicks a chipshot.

On the TD drive, Gainesville changed it up a little (at least it fooled the announcers a couple of times). A couple of direct snaps to Purvey and they moved down the field.

Something else...Gainesville is HITTING! They knocked Decatur's running back (Godbolt) out of the game late in the 2nd quarter. I don't believe that he came back in on Decatur's last series.

There are actually two radio stations in the Decatur area broadcasting the game. (98.3 in Bridgeport and 91.3 in Decatur).

On the Decatur station, the announcers interviewed Coach Story at half time...running back, Godbolt, will NOT return for the second half.

Scoring update...Decatur 23-7. Nine minutes left in 3rd period. Dane scores on QB draw but Decatur is called for holding....they have to settle for a field goal.

I'm not going to give up yet, but it sounds as if Decatur has this game won.

Good luck to them in the 2nd round against whoever.
