...one of the 5 charges was dismissed... (intent to fraud investors.)

The remaining four charges were about obstruction of justice during the investigation.

She will get a big fine...

Yawn. It would be more interesting to see her in the colisseum. wink

Are we talking about the real coliseum? As in "et tu Brute" and "Look out lady, there's a LION behind you?" :D

Yeah... As in...

*My Best Martha Stewart's Voice*

"Now you can have so much fun with pitchforks and nets. Just give your net a twist and insert the pitchfork and... there you go. A perfect centerpiece for the next Gladiator dinner you have..."

NEW YORK — Martha Stewart was convicted Friday of obstructing justice and lying to the government about a suspicious stock sale, a devastating verdict that probably means prison time for the homemaking and publishing icon.

Stewart, 62, showed no emotion as she heard the verdict, which ended a seven week trial. She later said she would appeal.

The jury of eight women and four men deliberated three days before convicting Stewart of one count of conspiracy, two counts of making false statements and one count of obstruction of agency proceedings.

four counts

Stewart could have faced even more prison time, but the judge threw out the most serious charge — a securities fraud count that alleged she deceived investors in her own company when she publicly declared her innocence in the scandal. The judge had referred to the charge as "novel."

she got off the most serious charge

Just following up on it... But it still would be fun to see her running around in the ring! wink
