ok, say your team has a home winning streak going back several seasons...and the playoffs roll around and your team wins a toss and your playoff game is,by choice, AT HOME IN YOUR STADIUM....

if you lose the game, that you chose to play at home...is your streak over ???

Of course it is. There are a lot of teams that boast "regular season home win streaks," but only an elite few that can get it done even after the second season's over.

of course its over. Westlake lost to Pflugerville last week at home in week 1 of the playoffs to snap their 30 something home game winning streak.

ask Burnet well, i was trying to make the point without mentioning them in particular...but their players seem to think their loss doesnt count....so i guess next year their announcer can say

'welcome to bulldog stadium, where the win streak goes back 4 seaons...except fot that one game from last year'

Maybe they should be more specific.

Like "Regular season home winning streak on days that begin with the letter F, when the temerature was above 60 degrees, and there was no coin toss involved."

Yes, but was there a coin toss involved?

Yes, but was there a coin flip involved? just to decide home/home...they didnt HAVE to play at home, they could have picked a neutral site, but were thinking the home field would give them an advantage...they knew full and well that their streak was on the line...the coaches even mentioned it the week before on the field when they were waiting to see if they were even in the playoffs....

i GUARANTEE had they won, it would have been another win in the 'win streak column' and they wouldnt have not counted it...

A home game is a home game whether it be a non-district, district, or playoff game. As Jason said, they didn't have to play at home; they could have picked a neutral site but they didn't so the home win streak is over.
