What is the UIL's stance on Noise Makers at HighSchool football games.

I remember one year some people had made some big propane bottle shakers with rocks or marbles inside. Others made some clapper things. What about a good old fashioned AIR HORN!

GP has one in the end zone that goes off when they score.

In 2002, we were stripped of our many noise makers before entering some of the stadiums.....but I think it's a stadium thing...not UIL. It really pissed us off!!!! (Thank goodness it didn't hurt our outcome!!!) :D

At some stadiums, the announcer will say "UIL rules prohibit the use of blah blah blah". However, if you look at the announcer guide & suggested techniques on the UIL website, that particular piece of information is missing. I did a little "rule" research & don't find it.

I've used the same cowbell for the last 7 football seasons. I'm about to wear it out.

The rule on noise makers is made by each individual district I believe

I like the noise from our speakers system. I just wished they would change the song. It gets old..........

It depends on the stadium and if both coaches agree...or so it was in the past. I know at Volleyball games and State Softball games they won't let you take noisemakers in. I think this is pretty dumb but I don't run UIL now do I??!!!
