Everyone who thinks pre-season polls are anywhere close to accurate need look no further. 8 out of 10 are gone after week one of the playoffs.

So very true. Polls do not put any points on the scoreboards, thats why they play the games.

If Dave Campbell were a coach, he would be fearing for his job.

What did Matthew328 preseason or week 1 top 10 or 25 look like? I don't know how to look it up.

but you also have to look at what happend during the reg. season, this poll didn't take that into account, it was just going from the prev. yr

and a BUNCH of teams improved since then

I realize that. I'm just saying that looking at how somebody did last year and how many returnees there are, while it makes good reading, is not an exact science. Heck, the weatherman is better than 50%. Remember we are talking about 16 and 17 year old globs of testosterone and trying to predict behavior of those globs.

Little Reeve number 2 (Charlie) coaches at Bay City. Don't be surprised to see him in Gobbler Green next year.

Is that the one that was QB coach at Texas State? What would he be? other Reeve is OC

Dave is usually a little better than this, but it has been an unusual year in 3A.

Correct me if I'm wrong but Sweetwater got no mention in anyone's Top 25 poll. Even though the 2003 Mustangs beat
DI semifinalist Abilene Wylie 21-7 during the regular season,
and only lost by 3 points to DII semifinalist Vernon in the
3rd round of last year's playoffs.
