I think Cuero's got one of the best 3 teams in the state, but upsets will occur, so I'll pick this one.

the players dont feel like they're in a position to be upset... they're going in as the underdogs since everyone jumped off of their bandwagon during district... i said the edna blowout was what they needed to get rolling... but wimberley was supposed to lose last night and they killed la vernia... im sure if we can sell out the alamodome with cuero fans and go crazy the entire night then the texans wont hear anything on offense and cuero can get the job done

Flourhead, actually, Wimberley's defense is good regardless of rush or pass. Their team as a whole, had a poor game against Llano. Llano played at 110%, as they knew beating Wimberley was 1/2 of the recipe for them to get to the playoffs.

well west columbia was supposed to have the awesome defense that held wharton to 7 points who scored 55 on cuero... and cuero scored 14 in 3 minutes, 59 seconds... and in the end they had 21 so i guess cuero's offense is capable of scoring on anybody... and if you have watched cuero this year, their offense is very dangerous to be up against after the other team scores on them

I totally agree. Wimberley probably hasn't faced a good as defense as Cuero's, nor a well balanced offense. If the offense mixes things up a bit and pass as much as they run, I don't see Wimberley being able to stop them! But I'm just a homer posting!

you can't compare how they played 10 weeks ago or even 3 weeks ago...circumstances change, coaches change strategies,all kinds of other things happen...Cuero just has to concentrate one week at a time and come out like they did against W.C. ....prepare for Wimberly and beat Wimberly, then move on, because Sinton is standing in the way.

Defensive games are usually won with a big play and strong special teams and I'll put Cuero's punter against anyone else in the state cept for Sealy's. That's why WC never made it outside the 20, DeLeon was putting the ball where he needed, even against a bad wind, look for the same again.

Well I guess I need to put my 1/2 cent worth in. I hear Cuero is HUGE, could be very effective up the middle agianst W. If there is a soft spot it might be the tackles. But theyre backed up by one of the best Linebacker tandems I've seen in awhile. Our secondary is stubburn and VERY quick. As for O, Weldon can throw, run whatever he wants. He also has 5 or 6 guys he can throw to who have sticky hands. Little Buse, and Skunda are the bulls. Goldstein is the Star. As fer the llano Loss, dont hold that against them, i think they didnt get off the bus. IF IF IF, W plays THEIR football, Cuero (for the first time) will have their hands full with Wimberley. W HAS to play the way they played against LH and LV, IF they do they will play awhile.

general schumacher is a very effective passer in the pocket, on sprint outs, and even when scrambling... we have two good receivers who make great moves to get open... they had been dropping some passes towards the end of the season but they've gotten over that now... our line is HUGE but they do have the tendency to make the wrong calls and mix up blocks... im sure coach reeve and coach miller will have that fixed up so it doesnt happen anymore... i heard that about last friday but that was only because of some different things they were doing... once they get used to it, which should be this week during practice, its going to be hard to stop the run... i know yalls defense is very good so that may not matter anyways.... if cuero can get it started early like they did last friday and be better than 20% in the redzone then this should be a great game

I think Cuero comes out swingin...watching the Edna game everyone was wondering why Cuero was throwing after they were up by 100 and the only answer that makes sense is that they haven't thrown a lot all season and they wanted to get the passing game going in case they need it in the playoffs...well, I'd like to see em out there gunnin it cuz they've got some playmakers with mad speed on the outside....hit that bubble, get a good block and send out the extra point team...but if they're weak in the middle hit that counter and vell will drag em to the end zone....same story, different chapter

TLU plays their home games there so it cant be too bad... i know when i went there about 10 years ago it looked pretty nice.... the home side was way bigger than the away side which is understandable... the field turf is definitely new... i know they renovated the field along with the tennis courts a few years ago but i dont know if that included adding more seats

I've not seen Cuero play, although I must say that the picture of the OLine made me nauseous. :eek: I can't speak for Brady, because I was unable to make that game, but the rest of teams in our district do not have anyone near the size of those boys.

The Wimberley players may not have the size, but they are definitely tough. The LB's, #44 & #52, are able to read the ball really well - pass or rush.

I don't know that Wimberley can beat Cuero, but I'll have to be a homer & root for them. Go, 27-3a - let's have another sweep!

Just something for yall to know about Seguin's stadium.. I noticed someone made the comment of the visitor's side being real small compared to the Home side. But now the visitor side is the same size if not larger than the home side. The stands are not as high as Memorials but stretch from endzone to endzone. The 9,000 seating number sounds correct. The turf is practically the same turf as last week. It is really a nice stadium but parking is terrible so show up early!!!

they practiced in victoria today and it started at 6 so they wont be home until about 10... everyone missed the halo tournament... poor guys... they were really excited about that too

they practiced in victoria today and it started at 6 so they wont be home until about 10... everyone missed the halo tournament... poor guys... they were really excited about that too
that's OK, I know of about 6 of them that played some Tiger Woods before practice so that pacified them for a while lol:D

OK, I'm a college student, and everytime I go to someone's dorm, they have all these guys in their watchin two ppl play this HALO game.
