thats great.... they better be cheering though.... if our side is filled up with people sitting down then im gonna be pissed

all the people that can't stand or don't like standing need to sit at the bottom or on either end of the stadium...I prefer standing the whole game and yelling:cheerl: :cheerl: :cheerl: and :foul: :foul: at the refs when the make a stupid call and then can't decide how to mark it off...

Flourhead

well the bottom row is the student section so they'll just have to bring their lawn chairs and sit around the stadium

I hate it when one person who believes they have authority says sit down, and then the person next to them 5 minutes later when cuero makes a good play says to stand up and get loud. I get so confused... I think the it should be like game shows where they have signs that say stand.. apploud... and so on... Actually forget all that crap.. Im standing the whole game.. They can enjoy watchin the band at half time because i do not get as hyped watching them as i do the football team!!

Someone should be appointed official leader of the crowd and they stand on the track and hold different signs to tell everyone what to do...yell, clap, boo...I guess that's all that's needed...maybe someone else to hold sit/stand signs too?

the band's not so bad now, since it took them 10 weeks to change their halftime show...at least now it's a little more upbeat...they are a great marching band...I only watch Cuero's band since my youngest son plays the Tuba...after that i'm ready for some football

I'm still up bro... I watched a good ol' 2A playoff game between Dilley and Lexington tonight in Seguin. Boy that Lexington QB has some mad speed and has a nice arm as well. I heard he's committed to A&M. It was real awesome to watch him play. The field became a little slick after a drizzle but should be great for tomorrow. Parking wasn't too much of a prob tonight but tomorrow when 3 times as many people come it will be a different story. I am ready for tomorrow!!! Gobblerfan02, you goin to the yoakum game first?

Hey, HSF78, Yorktown has to play the Lex. eagles next week! ha!...anyways, I had planned on going to the yk-lh game, but had to go to the 'ro cuz my trucks actin up, put it back in the shop, and am goin to the game with my parents, so I won't be able to make the game in new braunsfels tomorrow, dang it!...but I'll catcha @ the cuero game in seguin. See you then!

Sure thing i'll see ya there. Yorktown better learn the word containment for that QB sheesh... He must have had over 200 yards rushing. One play Dilley had him stopped at the fifty and it looked as if the play was stopping because no one was going anywhere and all of a sudden he came out sprinting out giving Dilley no chance to catch him. I guess that's why A&M is looking at him though as if they dont have enough good QB's right now :p Hope your truck gets over it's sickness.See ya tomorrow night in the town of the world's biggest Pecan!!

I think Austin and Bronsten may be able to contain him next week, they have talent....just think if those two stayed in cuero, WOW, I shrivle just thinking about it. way to go coach buzzard and the yorktown wildcats on a big win tonight!

I hope you mean the youngest boy, colton, no I don't thinke he's playing yet. But the youngest is dylan, she'd probly be out there too if her dad let her. Coach Buzz has some great kids, in case everyone is wonderin:
Austin-oldest
Bronsen
Colton
Dylan-youngest, only girl, must be a fisty one to keep up w/ her brothers
To make it easier, ABCD, kinda unique in a way!

Now that you mentioned it, I did see Yoakum's D all on the ground in the still pics from the Wharton-Yoakum game. I guess that's their solution to blocking...just fall on the ground and roll?

Thanks LJB001, it's posters like you who make this site worth while. I'm sad to see Wharton not playing this weekend, Mr. Jones had one heck of a season, and also, good luck to wharton in all the spring sports for the rest of the year!

We were all very disappointed too. My heart really went out to all of the seniors who took the loss especially hard. They were apologizing to many of the fans but were reassured that we were proud of them no matter what and they still were winners in our eyes. They went down fighting and giving it their all. Sure thought the ride would be longer this year though. Trey did have an outstanding season, as well as many other Tigers. The guys are already looking ahead to next year with anticipation. There is a lot of the old talent coming back plus some newcomers that are looking like they'll make a big difference.

I'm depending on you guys to fill the "football" gap in my life now, so go get 'em Gobblers! It's almost game time!

Thanks for the well-wishes for the Spring. The Tigers are going through some changes in Basketball due to new coaches, but things are looking good./
