I'm sorry that you refuse to accept the facts on how it's gonna be. I'm not really one who believes in the deep impact of "bulletin board material". Besides no matter what you put on that bulletin board it's not gonna make much of a difference. You'll always be a Hawks fan stuck in bi-district and area. What's really pathetic about this post is the arrogance portrayed in it, not nessecarily confidence.

Tell me, Coach, besides your particular bias and your exuberent feelings of superiority, what do you base your opinion on? The fact that you are...SINTON? That's great, really. Please do remember what happened to the LAKERS last year, they got beat by the Pistons. Why?

Once you start feeling the superiority, it will get to your head. Zapata is changing, and our extra-curriculars are showing this.

In the last four years, we've won distrist 4 straight. In UIL, we went from the laughing stock of our district to becoming a regional powerhouse, sending several teams and individuals to state, including the first all-hispanic cast to the State One-Act competetion.

The key to success is believing you can change things, and images that are engraved in people's minds, such as "we are SINTON" can be changed by hard work and dedication.

Your program may breed athletic success, Coach, but there is something your program is missing. Academic success. It's not all about the field, it's about everything. That's a winning attitude.

Win or lose, it's belieiving you can change things that matters.

The West Oso game was interesting, in that, the Hawks played pathetically. We were awful that night, the majority of the football team believes.

Of course, part of it lies on my fault, because I kind of got the football team a little overconfident.

The ingenious school newspaper editor predicted a big win over West Oso in the paper :)

66 I think since Sinton started competing in 1988 the worse they have ever got is fifth place in state.

Zapata is the new kid on the block, so to speak. We're finally building up on all our programs.

Myself, I led my UIL Social Studies, Current Events and Number Sense teams to state competetion and I did decently at the state level as a sophomore.

We're getting there, we try, at least.

Pirates are gonna need to come in firing on all cylinders. Zapata is coming in with a score to settle. A chip on the shoulder, whatever you want to call it. They've been waiting a year for this rematch and I hope that our Pirates come out and play like they did against Aransas Pass. (Sorry, AP_Panther_Fan) They took no prisoners and set an early tone, which is what they'll have to do with Zapata. Hey thanks for the undate pirate4. I will come prepared as I know what the weather can be this time of the year. I am glad I had extra blankets last Friday or we all would have been had to get scraped off the bleachers with a ice scaper. And everyone was too cold to make any noise. Yep, they were selling them in SA - I bought 2 and never used them -- too cold! :o They have one w/ the neverending S & one w/ the skull. All monies go back to the kids so $1 isn't too much. They also raffled an "official Sinton helmet" signed by the players. Way cool!! But I didn't win! :(

The key to success is believing you can change things, and images that are engraved in people's minds, such as "we are SINTON" can be changed by hard work and dedication.

Your program may breed athletic success, Coach, but there is something your program is missing. Academic success. It's not all about the field, it's about everything. That's a winning attitude.

Win or lose, it's belieiving you can change things that matters.

I'm not gonna list all the accolades here like you did cause they wouldn't fit. To be quite honest you really don't know what you're talking about getting into this. The Sinton Academic Decatholon team goes to state every year. UIL as well, one act play, golf, polo, frisbee, jumprope, thumbwrestling, mercy.......you name it, we do it. I have it on pretty good authority that you don't get rommed around here for stating your opinion. You get rommed for breaking the rules. As long as you watch your language, don't engage in personal attacks, and don't mouth off to moderators/ admins, you should be ok.

Honestly, about the Academic Decatholon, I apologize, it's not a well known event, not as well as UIL academics. The majority of schools in South Texas don't compete in it.
