There are 5 HS playoff teams within 15 miles of me.....that's pretty good for a small semi- rural county-- N.Texas HS football is alive and well.
FOOTBALL PLAYOFFS – Five Wise County high school football teams head for the first round of the state playoffs this weekend as they face bi-district foes. Tonight, the Decatur Eagles (10-0) take on the West Trojans (5-5) at Southlake Carroll Stadium. The Paradise Panthers (6-4) face the Hamilton Bulldogs (8-2) at Boswell High School in Saginaw. The Boyd Yellowjackets (10-0) face the Eastland Mavericks (9-1) at Burleson Elk Stadium. The Alvord Bulldogs (7-3) meet the Goldthwaite Eagles (9-1) at Tarleton State University in Stephenville. All games are at 7:30 p.m. with scores available immediately after the games at www.wcmessenger.com. The Bridgeport Bulls (3-7) take on the Comanche Indians (6-4) Saturday at 7 p.m. at Tarleton State University.
