About 34 with north wind around 10-20. Right now Mules are controling the game. Rangers caught a break at the beginning of the 2nd when it looked like they ran a punt back for td, only to find out guy stepped out of bounds. Drove down to the 15 only to have a couple of penalties and plays for loss and had to punt. Right now they have ball on Ranger 20 something with 4th and about 2 or 3. Tiime out with 2:23 left before half. TIme back in, 1st down at the 17 for the Mules

Why did they go for two? Do they not have a kicker or were they worried about the wind?

Rangers ran the KO back to the Mules 32. Had 2nd and 4, with 44 seconds, but fumbled the ball and was recovered by the Mules. Mules QB has 116 yards on 13 carries. 8 seconds left in the half. TO Mules. They have a 1st down on their own 40.....On a fumblle, Rangers get called for PF for late hit on the guy recovering the fumble. I'm thinking Perryton is still "hungover" from Canyon game......End of 1st half. 13-7 Mules.

Sounded like they just thought they could catch the Rangers napping....and had the guy open, but pass was off the mark.

Here's a few half time stats. Mules are dominating this game right now. Perryton lucky it is only 13-7. Rangers have been held to a season low for the 1st half. I was wrong on the player that is "killing" Perrtyon. It is Brady Black that now has 108 yards on 14 carries. Mules have 207 total yards at half. 167 rushing-48 passing. Rangers were held to 72 total yards. 45 rushing-27 passing. Rangers are having trouble without their tailback who tore his ACL in the 1st half against Canyon. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Mules take this game.

Rangers held...Mules punted to the 3 yard line. Perryton dOrove down to the Mules 38 and couldnl't convert on 4th and 2. 2:39 left in the third. Mules now have ball on the Ranger 26. Looks like it's just about over for Perryton. Injuries and a good teams catching up with Perryton.

I wouldnt count the Rangers out yet though. If memory serves me correctly they had a pretty big comeback last year against Sweetwater in the playoffs.

Mules kick FG. 24-7. I have said all along that Perryton was overrated all year. They are a good ball club, but when you lose youir starting tailback and then his replacement, it makes things tough. Not making excuses, because the Mules are beating the Ranger defense...which only has 1 starter hurt.

Well. it's 30-7 now. I think you can start youir celabration. Congratulations. You beat up on my Rangers "like a red-headed stepchild". It wasn't even close. Heck we score, then miss the extra point. It reminds me of 1999 when the Mules beat us 50-7 in this game. The only thing left to wonder is what the final score will be. Good luck down the road! 30-13 now

Appreciate it RangerRed... I'm not surprised that the Rangers aren't moving the ball.. I'm surprised at their DEFENSE because we really expected a low-scoring game. da Mules broke it loose in the 2nd half.
the Rangers have nothing to be ashamed of, and we are very proud to make a good showing against a team of this caliber. The ball bounced our way tonight. Congrats on a good season. :clap: :clap: :clap:

Thanks. Terribly disappointed, but that is the way it goes sometimes. I feel for the seniors on our team. That group didn't lose a game from 7 grade all the way thru JV. That;s the way it goes though. You guys did what you needed to do and you came in ready to play and well prepared. Go and "shock the state"...it has been done before!

How about a Greenwood or Snyder - Muleshoe and Sweetwater - Lubbock Cooper doubleheader next weekend at Lowrey.

Radio now saying that we might meet Snyder at Lowrey but would play Gwood at Denver City. Hmm.. rememeber the last time we played Gwood at Denver City, Ranger Mom?
