Can anybody stop Gilmer on the way to the D2 title? Does anyone have a good enough offense to score enough points on the Gilmer "D" to beat them? I hear the Gilmer "D" has 3 D1 prospects and the rest of the unit are pretty big and fast, too. Their QB is a really good athlete, also.

Looks like Gilmer has 387 PF; 82 PA, with the most points scored against them in a game being 20, by Daingerfield.

I think Iowa Park has a good shot. Their district slate has got them ready for the playoffs.

I almost forgot to mention Sweetwater's backup QB
Sonny Birdwell who has ran three times for a 9.3 avg.

I agree with you guys that IP and Sweetwater are a couple of the strongest teams in R1, with Muleshoe, maybe the darkhorse.
R2- Tatum and Van look pretty good right now.
R3- Cameron Yoe and Kirbyville and ???
R4- I have no idea, yet. Help!

D2 should watch out for halletsville as a darkhorse in Reg. 4, their only loss of the season is to Cuero!

Halletsville's PF=252; PA=90, with 35pts by Cuero, and nobody else scored more than 14 on them. One impressive thing--- they're really a big 2A school, their enrollment is only 390.
