That would be a big win... Hopefully both teams can stay healthy for the playoffs...

Since both teams are playoff bound, I think we may see some key players getting reduced time or even sitting the bench (especially from Newton). No sense in injuring the players who got you here. It would be a shame to lose a key player in a game that really doesn't mean anything. However, I have this gut feeling that Diboll still thinks they have something to prove, though and may not adhere to this philosophy.

i think diboll can pull out this win if they will cut down on turnovers and play better in the first half than last week agianst k-ville newton is a big team and diboll has a strong offense, when they dont have turn overs

Oh no doubt that Diboll can pull out the win. Like it said it can go either way. Didn't duckbutter say going into the k'ville game that we wouldnt win anymore games? I thought I read that somewhere! where you at duckbutter, am I right or right?

If #11 can stop throwing up those balls when he is near a sack an just take it. Thats where most of his 14 int have come from. Look for diboll to go to the running game an hot passes #20 is there also but they know Newton will cover him double or even triple.

Diboll 32
Newton 28

Game that wont be over till 0:00, Ill be at the station listening to the game an giving stats from around the state an also doing play by play here on this forum.

The winner of this game will play the runner-up of district 19 so I think both teams will pull out all stops to get the win.

If I recall correctly my comment stated that Diboll MAY not win another game this yr. I was at the game and thought Diboll played very well. However I don't think Diboll can stop Newton's offense and don't expect Newton to double or triple up on #20. The best way to shut Diboll's pass down is to hit the qb in the mouth and punish him all night long. Newton WILL be ready. Good Luck

Well if Newton holds us below 100 yards in rushing and 100 passing then you guys will win, but so far this season, when Diboll has went over 100 yards in both categories they have came up with a win. good game

Newton's D will harrass Diboll's QB.
27 points is Newton's low this season. Does anyone think Diboll can hold them to 27 or less? If you do you are living in a dream world.

I don't think Newton will double team #20, look for Sammy Adams #10 to play him man on man. Diboll will be lucky to have 100 yards rushing, while Newton should have over 200. JMHO

JMHOYour humble opinion and mine are in unison. I'm not just saying this because I am a prejudiced Newton fan. I say this as an objective outside observer.

I just don't see Diboll winning this game. Diboll will be in the playoffs, but as 3rd place in the district.
The JAX will get AXED!!
Newton 28
Diboll 14.

All I have to say is this. It will be a high scoring game. Diboll allowed only 7 pts. last year in the first half. Diboll has a better D this year and a better offense. Look for someone from all directions. Dont just look for #20. He is a great athelete but he is not the only weapon Diboll has. They also have Garcia who I believe is #84, but he is the tight-end and got a ton of yards on Jasper. Also, look for big #99, #80 and #81 to come trough Nexton's line a punish the QB and the backs. I see it as a close game but again I am pulling for my Lumberjacks. Good luck to both teams in the playoffs.

I dont know, nobody has been able to hold #20 all year one on one. I'm sure the safety will be over to his side helping out the db. #20 isn't our leading reciever. #84 has 33-34 receptions after last week's game. We just have to wait and see what happens. go jacks

Diboll does have a good offense, but they haven't seen a defense as good as Newton's. Defensively they are better than Jasper (in my opinion), with about the same team speed. As far as #20. He will be held in check by #5, Sistrunk I believe. He is nearly the same size with better speed than Finley. No more jump balls this week.

you underestimate the athelte in #20 :)
