I know they are 4A but they will be looking for a new head football coach. Alice has had hard times lately but at one time they were a football powerhouse year in and year out.

this is Van Tom Whatleys 2nd retirement from the HC job at Alice. He retired a couple of years back as the HC and was just the AD. . . good luck to him. . .

Hey District I don't know who Alice will hire but this might be Coach Brent Davis chance to come back to South Texas and coach at 4A level.

any word of prospective replacements? i say Chris Soza from Beeville is a fav. if he wants it. Even with Beeville's poor season, Alice is in love with him.

He would be a good choice Pirate. I wondered why he wasn't hired there a few years ago when it was available.

Don't forget District he did apply for the T-M job last year and was one of the finalist. I was surprised T-M didn't hire him.

Van Tom Whatley was a good guy and a great coach. Sad to see him go but go to know they had him.
