here's something amazing

before last friday since cuero had been ranked #1 they're largest margin of victory was 21 over the smallest school in 3a... decatur on the otherhand was killing everybody... however first place votes stayed about the same... 13 for cuero and 6 for decatur... now last week cuero won 54-0... decatur won 63-0... but somehow decatur gained a vote and cuero lost one... did it take that long for the ap idiots to realize that decatur was freakin awesome and beating all the top teams in the state... dont get me wrong.... cuero is very good and i do believe they will win state... but i didnt figure the ap to change their minds after cuero had a great game like they did

those polls mean nothing now.last year we (Marlin) werent even ranked in the the top 25 and we made it to the state game. We were 1-4 but those 4 losses were to Ennis (#1 in 4a), Burnet (#1 in 3a),Midway (4a), and University (4a). So imma go on the limb and say the 3a Champions this year will not be anyone on t hat top ten..........................MB

I like it when they're not rated. Now, it puts a bigger target on your back, & everyone knows who you are, can't surprise anyone. Not saying that I don't think they deserve to be there, just saying it's easier to sneak up on teams instead.

No offense to Navasota, but they simply aren't a #5 team. While they have a pretty salty offense, the defense isn't near where it needs to be for this team to be in the top 10.
