I know there are probably a lot of teams that missed the playoffs , and could really tell some hard luck stories, but the Canton Eagles have probably got one of the best. Canton went 8-2 and missed the playoffs, with the two losses being in district to Van and Chapel Hill. If they had lost to Chapel Hill by 3 points or less---they go---Chapel Hill kicked a field goal with 2 secs. left, and won by 4. If Van would have beaten Lindale, Friday night--Canton goes---they lost. Congratulations to a fine, hard working Canton Eagle team and coaches for a great year. One consolation---their band won the state UIL band title---congrats to them, also.
