View Full Version : Ft.Stockton vs. Abilene Wylie

I know Wylie will be favored heavily, I have not seen them play this year but I know they are big and fast year in and year out, if Jeferson can not play this game it will be a romp from the get go, but I think if he can play at full strength the Panthers might be able to hang around and make it a game to remember for the Panthers!

I'm not sure we should be heavily favored since we really don't know much about Ft. Stockton. If I'm not mistaken, this will be the first time these teams have ever played each other and we all know anything can happen. Wylie is well coached and has a lot of depth. Run/pass ratio is probably 50/50. Our junior qb, Case Keenum, reads defenses well and can both throw and run. His favorite target is #41 senior Josh Poorman. Our tailback, senior Mike Kiger is fast and slippery and plays some at linebacker. The run defense is very good and the pass defense has improved all season. Our three losses have been to 4A Aledo 42-28, to Decatur 44-7 and a disappointing district loss to Snyder 27-23, after leading 23-6 at halftime---but let's not go there now. Should be a great game. I'm glad it's on a Saturday and in San Angelo--it's an excellent field and facilities. Tell me some about Ft. Stockton and your qb situation. You mentioned that he might not be full speed. Was he injured recently?

qb has nealry 2000 total in 9 games, operates out of empty set.
according to drs. friday a.m. is OUT for season.
record 6-4.

Oh man this is going to be ridiculous if jefferson dont play, Wylie coul just play there second string. I wish he would play, he is really good, best Quarterback i have seen play this year.

Wylie in the playoffs... well, let's just say Sandifer should be working some more magic this year.

Jefferson will play no matter what is the situation, It is a playoff game, he has come this far to not be with the team. He is a player, and a great one at that. So you will see #2 on the field. I know this because I am His brother!

One other thing, With or without Jefferson the Panthers will play, they are a team and will play as a team, this group of athletes are all players and have hearts as big as Texas, so they will kick scratch, run and do what ever they have to do to win the game, just like any team would. So give this team some credit, They made the playoffs, they have a district championship, and that has not been done in 26 years, so give them credit just like you would any team that made it to the playoffs.

Yeah they will play but ya'll could barley beat pecos with out him, cause he gets the ball like every play.

DO NOT WANT TO GET INTO A FAMILY DISPUTE, BUT KNOW JEFFERSON DID NOT PRACTICE THE WEEK OF LAMESA VERY MUCH, NONE THE WEEK OF SEMINOLE, AND DID NOT EVEN SUIT UP FOR PECOS.
HE MAY PLAY, BUT ACCORDING TO MY SOURCES, HE HAS NOT EVEN BEEN RELEASED FOR ACTIVITY AND THE RUMOR(AND I REPEAT...RUMOR) IS THAT HE WILL NOT BE RELEASED...HE CANNOT HARDLY RUN. THAT WAS EVEIDENT AGAINST SEMINOLE.
ATLEAST TO MY DUMB ARSE.

PANTHERS WILL BE FINE, JUST MAY BE TOUGH TOO SCORE ALOT.

Jefferson is a ,aybe, but either way he has showed the heart of a champ and so have the rest of the panthers! He has done enough to be the MVP hands down and many more accomplishments to come. When he was healthy he couldnot be stopped and you know this. Threw for over 100 and ran for 900, that is putting up some numbers. Let's give it up to the o-line and fullbacks for that one. Good luck panthers the town is proud of you and your district championship, whatever happens you can't takw away your district championship!

Well without Jefferson I think Wylie can have a bad game and still be able to pull it off, with Jefferson at full strength the Panthers might have a chance if they can cause some turnovers and stay within reach going into the 4th quarter

It's a day game-- 1:30 pm with a 30% chance of rain, high about 48 degrees and slight east wind. I don't know if it will affect either team. Both teams are used to this type of weather.

I just heard on the news its supposed to be rainy and snowy on saturday afternoon, that would make the turf a little slippery, even though Jefferson would have trouble scrambling(if he does play) I still think the advantage would go to the Panthers just because the weather might get them boys some turnovers that would hepl them to pull off one of the biggest upsets in the state of texas!

I'll predict another 4-3a win. All three teams in 4-3a will have victories. Good luck to the Bulldogs. Hate to hear about the qb injury. Sounds like the Panthers will struggle without him.
