Palestine has a very good team, too bad they have to face one of the very best right off the bat. Silsbee wins.

I think Palestine learned their lesson last year about overlooking teams. If Palestine is overlooking Silsbee (looking ahead of WOS) and doesn't come to play, Silsbee has the talent to pull out a win. Last year Palestine overlooked Hallsville (and blew a 19-7 lead in the 4th quarter and lost 20-19). They were looking ahead to Ennis which was being billed as the nation's best team against the nation's best player at Texas Stadium.

Palestine also have a very very good defense. Yes, they have a passing game, this is one of the most balanced Palestine teams I have ever seen. Here are their scores from this season:

beat (4A) Whitehouse 27-6
beat Carthage 42-31
beat (4A) Henderson 49-28
lost to (4A) Jacksonville 23-7
beat Tatum 27-24
lost to Rusk 14-13
beat Diboll 21-12
beat Crockett 61-14
beat Palestine Westwood 51-18
beat Huntington 41-0

Palestine is averaging 33.9 points per game and giving up 17.0 points per game.

I have not seen Palestine, but Silsbee looked VERY good. Good size, good speed, good execution, good offense and defense. Their 10 wins are for real.

Palestine has both good running and passing. Cameron Jones is very talented in his run game, while Fred Williams has been doing a great job this year with his pass game! I am cheering for Palestine all the way!:)

This game and Cuero vs. West Columbia should be the two best games in the DI bracket
