First of all, I am actually getting depressed that the season is almost over (what will we do for the next 8 mths?).
Second, I would like to congradulate all the Seniors who have (or will) play their last HS football game (hold on to the memories, they last a lifetime).
Lastly, we as fans need to keep things in perspective. We tend to get emotional over our favorite team(s), but we must remember that this is high school sports with 16, 17, and 18 year olds. Trash talking is one thing, but degrading and flamitory remarks towards a town, team or individual is unnessary. Let's show support while at the same time show some maturity and dignity. A good dose of respect wouldn't hurt either.
Good luck to the remaining 6 teams in the playoffs. Each of you deserve to be where you are and should be commended for the dedication and hard work (both off-season, and during the season).
