Looks like Canton might go 8-2 and miss the playoffs. Lindale was up 34-13 over Van last I heard. It would take a Brownsboro win over Chapel Hill for Canton to make the playoffs.

Canton 34 Bullard 7 Final

Tyler Chapel Hill beat Brownsboro 45-17, and Lindale beat Van 48-27. The playoff teams will be Van, Lindale, and Chapel Hill. Lindale and Chapel Hill will both enter the playoffs at 5-5, while Canton ends their season 8-2. Canton's two losses were by a total of 14 points.

Man, that's a shame. Guess both losses were in didtrict. Better luck next year.

Yeah, both of Canton's losses were in district. They lost to Van and then to Tyler Chapel Hill last week. There were 4 teams coming into tonight at 2-2 trying to claim those last 2 spots. With Lindale and Chapel Hill both winning, they advanced to the playoffs. It came down to last week when Canton was losing 21-20 to Chapel Hill and with 2 seconds left Tyler Chapel Hill kicked a field goal to win 24-20 and that gave them the points they needed in the tiebreaker over Canton.

i just saw on the high school scoreboard live that canton made the playoffs...

I listened to the game on lonestarteams and they were saying that Canton had to have a Lindale or Tyler Chapel Hill loss to make the playoffs, so I don't know. Canton beat Lindale a few weeks ago so I thought they would make the playoffs over Lindale, but there were so many scenarios that I was confused!

Canton did not make it because of the tie breaker. they were -2 in the points so an 8-2 season is all they get. I hope you enjoyed the game on LST! I was the play-by-play guy doing the game :)
