BOWIE – Gainesville wrapped up a District 6-3A championship with a 27-6 win over Bowie Friday.
Gainesville (7-3, 5-0) will take on Graham in a Class 3-A Division 1 bi-district playoff Friday in Denton.
Bowie (5-5, 3-2) led Gainesville 6-0 late in the second quarter, but Gainesville scored with six seconds left before half time on a 46 yard pass from Travis Sutton to Terrius Purvey.
Gainesville scored 20 more points in the second half to cruise to the win.
