Can somebody please tell me why the hell Northern Illinois is ranked #24??? They have two losses (one was to Iowa State), their only real blowout was against Central Michigan, they have a porous defense and an average-at-best offense. I'm all about giving the mid-majors a shot, but only if they've earned it. There's plenty of more deserving teams sitting underneath the Huskies.

i bet San Diego state could keep up w/ A&M.. cuz Utah beat A&M by 20 and Utah also beat SDSU by 23... thats a 3 point difference... i think 3 points could go either way really..

to answer the question the media/BCS wants a mid-major team to get into the mix so badly they r skewing the rankings...they think if they get a mid-major team to play the big boys the playoff talk will subside...instead it will prolly just result in a horrible game and more playoff talk....but oh wlel...
