The 7th grade Tigers closed out the season with a 20-0 win on the road against Caldwell last night. The wins give the Tigers the district title outright with a record of 5-0-1 in district and 7-0-1 overall. I'm proud of how the kids played this year.

Rockdale 7th grade scores:
Rockdale 32 Waco Robinson 8
Rockdale 14 Lago Vista 6
Rockdale 30 Hutto 0
Rockdale 30 La Grange 0
Rockdale 8 Giddings 8
Rockdale 14 Smithville 0
Rockdale 44 Cameron Yoe 0
Rockdale 20 Caldwell 0

Couple this team with the 8th grade team that were district co-champs with a record of 7-0-1. The 8th grade won every district game but didn't play Manor due to a tradegy in Rockdale and Manor the night before the game. Manor also finished undefeated in district play. Rockdale's 8th grade squad only has 1 loss in two years. I think they have a two year record of 15-1-1.

I hereby crown the Rockdale Jr High football teams unofficial Junior High state champions. Now go grow up and repeat it on varsity before we hear about you again.

Cameron and Rockdale have battled for years!!! They are not scared of each other!!! One of the toughest districts in the state!!!! Could win 7th and 8th grade and not go to the playoffs in high school. It is how the teams and players develop in the systems they are in!!! Rockdale has a chance to be good, but so do all the schools in that district.
