Sinton 66 and PPHS I need to get you to go to the big 12 women's soccer tournament next year. If I get you to go to one day of it you will both be "hooked." You will see it is great. I had a great time yesterday. And KTJ if you just go to one home soccer game next year and watch the Lady Horns I bet you will be hooked too. Just give it a try next year. And if you know any of the Lady Horn soccer players I bet they know who the Sinton GodFather is now. :)

I went to a soccer game one time. Back in 1973. It was the most boring sporting event that I have ever seen. Except maybe for that one time I went to watch a raft race on the river.:p

Now now PPHS you need to go to a women's college soccer game. You don't shoot all the dogs just because one of them has fleas. :)

Phil, I think soccer would have more of a chance in the U.S. if they could find some way to increase the scoring. The toughest part to watch in soccer is when they take the ball all the way down the field only to have it turned over time and again or blocked by the goalie about 95% of the time.

Don't forget KTJ that the women play volleyball this weekend even though I don't know where. I know you will be watching UT vs Oklahoma State University though.

PPHSfan had the right idea to liven up soccer. They need to change the rules. They could have eleven guys on each side. Allow them to pick up the ball and run with it. Maybe throw the ball way down field and let somebody catch it with his hands and continue running. Instead of kicking the ball into a net, maybe they could just carry it across , say, a goal line and have it count for six points instead of just one. Oh, and they should change the shape of the ball to oval with a point on each end.
