This Week's Pick 'em...

What is better than a late season HSFootball matchup with a district championship possibly at stake? Yeah, I don't know either... ;)

This week the pick'em heads to Region 3 and visits 20-3A....it is Bellville at Rice Consolidated... Brahamas and Raiders.... let's hear what you have to say...

As always, polls close on Fridays.

Last Week's Pick'em...

Wow... the poll sure did take a beating last weekend... Hat's off to Snyder and the defeat of Abiliene Wylie last week. I don't know what conventional wisdom said about this matchup, but the 3ADL said overwhelmingly that Wylie would win... and the 3ADL was bigtime wrong sufferning its worst week all season... only 6 out of 52 posters correctly picked the winner.... for a whopping 11.5% YUK!

Needless to say, that dropped our average for the year almost 5 points to...57.6%

This should be a very good matchup and also district championship up for grabs. both teams have very good offense Rice 37points avg. 320 yds, Bellvile 29points 300 yards. this gives rice a slight advantage. Defense Rice-10 points-175 yds, Bellvile 25 points-260 yds, this is a big advantage Rice. Special teams go to Bellvile. With all this said i think Rice wins at home in a close game by less than a touchdown. this game with so much on the line could go either way. good luck to both teams and stay healthy for playoffs.

I expect this to be a pretty high scoring game for rice....Rice will probably make it into the high 30's, low 40's and Bellville maybe into the high 20's to mid 30's.

I think this will be a close one. Bellville always has a good team and they always play Rice tough. I think Rice will win the game but not by a big margin. Just play "Raider Ball" and you'll come out on top, Rice!!!! Go Raiders! Beat the Brahmas!!!!

I agree with many saying this will be a very close game. I never expected b-ville to be anywhere near what they are this year. I gathered rice would be good, but not quite as good as last year b/c of the loss of spears. Bellville is quite young led by senior Emmanual Sanders who is a great playmaker. Both have very high powered offenses capable of scoring on any play. This will come down to which team can play better D. I see rice playing the better D. As long as bellville can slow down huffman and create big plays on offense they can definetly win this game. I will post no score prediction b/c both are very great ball clubs with exceptional talent. Good luck to all D20 playoff contenders, somebody bring home a State title!!!
