I have Sinton by an unbelivabley huge margin in this one. Bye hasn't shown me anything at all this year.:D
(Of course, this is dependant on how much the refs help 'ol Bye)

Finally, a week of rest for the Pirates. A week to heal up those nagging little injuries and to get ready for the playoffs. With the mix-up in Hondo's district, there is no clear D1 rep yet, so we don't know who or where we play.

If it's Hondo, we'll probably play in San Antonio (home neutral) because we were at Corpus year before last. I believe the rule states that when a flip occurs, the loser automatically gets first choice if the teams meet again within two years.

Here are the enrollment figures for 29-3A according to the UIL site:

Carrizo Springs................695
Hondo............................634
Pearsall..........................613
Crystal City.....................580
Devine............................564
Cotulla............................395

And 30-3A are as follows:

Sinton............................617
Ingleside.....................,,..609
Mathis............................569
Aransas Pass...................536
Goliad.............................443

Unless Crystal City beats Devine this weekend and Hondo loses to Carrizo Springs, we will get Hondo in the first round, I think. Doubt either of these will happen.

Head to head scores from 29-3A:

Cotulla beat Hondo 26-18
Hondo beat Crystal City 29-0
Crystal City beat Cotulla 21-14

This week's schedule:

Hondo vs Carrizo Springs
Cotulla vs Pearsall
Crystal City vs Devine

All three quite likely to finish at 3-2 in district play.

What's your take on District 29? I figure it's gonna be Hondo going D1.

Bye 20
I heard that Bye had a good passing game. LOL!

They do have that very elusive receiver, Open combined with the speed of light quickness of their QB, Idle. It really makes it hard for any defense to catch. Of course, they usually don't show up, so it could be a forfeit. :D

Round one would likely be San Antonio, maybe South San campus? Maybe Harlandale?

I heard through the grapevine that Bye has alot of players talking trash about Sinton. Their coach was saying that this week would be their easiest victory. He also said that the reason that they forfeited the other games, was to save themselves for Sinton.:D

i talked to Dondo's family, he will be back MAYBE for the 1st playoff game. . . he was shaken up on that play near the Ingleside sideline for those who dont know who Dondo is. . the ambulance personel came out. From what i was told, he had a concussion. . .
Heres to a speedy recovery Daniel. :)

Glad to hear he is doing better. Concusions are not to be taken lightly.

It would be nice to play in SA next week since my deer lease is up that way. I could make the game and still hunt the next morning. Glad Sinton has a bye this week cause the season opens on Sat morning and I plan to be cooking fajitas friday afternoon and sitting around a camp fire.

Oh, It sure feels more like football weather now doesn't it.

That would be ok too. As long as they are playing it don't matter to me what time. Afternoon game, evening game, morning game....

I was sitting in a deer blind near Goliad one year at 5pm, called the wife and asked her if she wanted to go to the game in Kingsville (played La Feria maybe). Made it to Kingsville in time for the start of the 2nd quarter. Game was already way out of hand be then.

Maybe two or three years ago we played somebody in Kingsville at Jav. stadium. I thought it was a valley team like La Feria. Who is in Zapata's dist. besides West Oso?

Is there an Achive that gives scores from years past that Sinton has played?
