Okay, I know we have gotten off to a ruff start on the year with a 0-2 rec. and it should be 2-0. We made costly mistakes in those 2 games we played. First game was splendora, in the first min we scored on them. then held them with -9 yards. then we get the ball back and we score again. so right off the bat it is 14-0 going into the second quater. then splendora gets off a tiped pass and scores. so it is 14-6 diboll. we get the ball back and we drive it all the way back down to our 20. Our qb Chris Miller scrambels to make a throw and hits Jermical Finly (Soph) in the endzone.
But they call it back because they said he crossed the line of scrimmage bye 2 inches. which our coach challenged it. and the ref ended up winning. so they call it back. and its a loss of down, with a 15 yrd penitaly. so its 4th and 20. and we go for it and barly miss the first. Then on there nxt kick off to us. our guy drops the ball and they pounce on it and they get it. and they go down and score. then on the nxt kick off we get it and it comes loose under the pile. One ref said it was red's ball (thats us) and the other siad it was whites. so the ref said everyone up. and so we got up and spledora striped it outta our hands after the play and they gave it to them which ended up in a score. cause we lost our stinger and we went in to the half 21-14.
we come out the nxt half, right after a ars* chewing bye our coach and score right off the bat, from a fake punt. so its 21 21. So we kick it off and they return it to the 50 whick gives them great feild postion. and they take it in and score. so there up.(which if we would got that td they called back, it woulda already been 35-7.)then we get the ball back. and go and score and we miss the extra point and ruin our chances for ot. and we lose. We had that game won even before we touched that feild.
Now on the Carthage game. i have to correct you on somthing. carthage didnt have the game dominated, sorry to say. waht was the core at the end of the first. 0-0 i belive. and what was the score at 5 mins to the end of the second quarter.0-0 we had a very bad sinking spell at the end of the 2nd. because we had players playing both sides of the ball and not getting a break.
As soon as the ball was turned over, we didnt get to go to the sidline and catch or breath we just stayed on the feild and kept on playing. and carthage took advantage of it and scored 21 quick points so it was 21-0 going into half. We only have 10srs on our team which only 5 start(both sides of the ball) and the rest are jrs and soph. we have a really young team and small team but very quick and agile. we dominated carthage's offense the first and most of second quarter. as well as the 3rd and 4th. after half time we came out with Leaders coming from every postion.
Our 2 offensive leaders gave one heck of a serman during half time to our offensive line. which got them pumped up and in the 3rd quarter we went down and dominated carthages 1st string defense. and again we had 7 ppl playing both sides of teh ball and playing there buts off and doing a pretty good job of it to.
We held carthage the rest of the night they didnt get close. we needed to work on our special teams. it really killed us this week. we had to stop carthage at or 40 every time and we answered that call every time in the second half. Diboll has massivly improved this week and are ready to defeat coldsprings. we have a lil supirse for them. so get ready.
We have a pretty ruff district. with rank #1 and #2 in our district to play. but ppl have forgoten that in 98 we played newton and barly lost and they went on and won state.
Everyone is focusing on jasper cause tehre a big time 3a team that just moved down from 4a
all we have to is elminate that second quarter of our game,and we will be unstopable. we have one of the quickest lines that diboll has ever had in the past years.
we may not weight very much. but we are extreamly strong, everyone on the line is worked to the max each day in the weight room.
so jasper and newton be ready cause we arnt gonna settle for 3rd in our district.
watch for us cause i can garnetee the score on coldsprings will be unbelivebly high.
