A coach told me last year that his town had the greatest fan support there can be but his job was impossible because every parent wanted the following:

The 10 best players should always be on the field plus their son.

Does every school have this problem?

YES, every school/town had that problem ......... for every sport and for every level

and if anyone says no, their school/town is different, then they should be ROM'd immediately !!!

Sure it's true. I told some parents a few years ago that "Every opportunity will be given for a kid to play if it's available. The problem is that if we're winning big or losing big, the first thing a parent thinks about is how did my kid play".

There are always parents that think their son\daughter should play more or be put in a position to shine. Usually when this is a problem the team is struggling. Usually starts when the coaching staff doesn't start out by laying down rules at the start. Parents and players need to know it's the coaches way. If they can't handle it the UIL has a thing called a "transfer".
