1. How do you do search feature? When you change computers how do you keep the same screenname and get the same signature is what I mean?

2. How do you do the quote feature?

3. How do you clean out your pms? Mine is getting close to being dangerously full.

1. I don't know how to use the search feature, but to get back on your screenname when you switch computers just log on. You type in your name and password and you're set. Was that the answer to your question, Phil???

2. At the bottom right hand side of every post, just above the "reply" button, there's a little purple rectangle that says "quote." Click on it and it will take you to a reply screen with the quote from that post already in it.

3. Just click on the white boxes off to the far right to check off the PM's that you would like to delete. When you are finished checking off all the ones you want gone, look just above your PM list and find the black "delete" rectangle... click on that and you're set.

Hope this helped you out, Phil. If I misunderstood the first question or you need a little more help, just let me know.

Okay, here's another question. Can you just quote a portion of a post instead of the entire thing?

to use search, just click on search and the first box you see on the top left (a box to fill in info) then type in your query

to use just part of a post, click quote at the end of the post, then, it will show what you are attempting to post, edit the parts of the quote you want, and then try it...why not try quoting one of the posters on this thread for practice!:D

hope that makes sense!

But wouldn't it then be possible to mislead others about what the quote was about?

You're scaring me there, Phil. I can't wait until I can do all of those fancy signatures etc..... When is that? Will I still be alive in that year?

Just kidding, probably needs to be sometime in the future though .... since I am only learning to quote.:D :D :D

Two two more questions. If you have to change computers and you get on with your screen name and password will the signature still be there?
Also can you get on the downlow on a second computer with the same screenname if you remember your password?

Yes, Phil, to both questions.

Thank you LH and on! Don't worry AP and there are several that can help you with a signature when you are ready.
